There's an "app" for that!

The Idea Farmers are proud to launch their newest product "growth". Providing a search application for the i-phone platform, the Innovation UK "app" allows those who download from the app store or from i-tunes the facility to locate innovative companies in the UK, by location or by science classification. If you are a collaborator, or an investor or a supplier you can identify new partners by downloading the app.

This is the first of forthcoming apps to be launched by Idea Farm challenging the existing paradigm of publishing processes.

Idea Farm make superfast connections

As a result of marketing the UKSPA database, Idea Farm have agreed to assist Aimes Grid Services to approach tenants in relation to superfast cloud computing services

Boots & Unilever lead the way with Innovation

The Innovation Search Directory has two great sponsors in Boots Innovation centre and Unilever. Both keen to have access to the data to mine through to ascertain which companies are working in particular disciplines.

The concept of searching the technologies working on UKSPA member parks is extremely intriguing to these companies, who are committed to acquiring first move advantage in a number of sectors

Sprouting seeds of innovation

The farmers launched their first publication earlier this month at the UKSPA conference at Harwell. The UKSPA Innovation Directory is a directory of tenants across some 57 science parks.

The publication was well received at Harwell with a number of science parks recognising that the product, and the unified database sat behind it, are both extremely useful to the science park network in terms of stimulating collaborations between tenants.

Legally connected

An early digital seed has just borne fruit with the announcement that Lexis Nexis have appointed Idea Farm to assist with the promotion of the Martindale.com/Connected programme to over 40,000 legal cousel globally.

This will be the first of a series of niche projects that are to be undertaken by Idea Farm in the coming months and marks a move into a really exciting new area of niche digital marketing for Idea Farm.

Innovative use of data

Peter Sadler was the official Idea Farm representative at the UKSPA Members conference last month, and gave a stimulating presentation about the upcoming “Innovation Directory”. The purpose of the presentation was to encourage participation in the projectfrom all UKSPA Science Park Managers gathered at the conference.

The farmers lay down some digital roots

Idea Farm have launched a new section on the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) website. This provides the NGS with a platform to publish information about accommodation, products and services relating to gardens and gardening.

The National Gardens Scheme open gardens for charity across the UK and many of these gardens offer accommodation and this section allows these accommodation owners to publish their details for people visiting gardens in the area.

The farmers get blown away

Idea Farm are proud to be involved in a new DVD to be produced by Renewable UK, promoting UK wind power, it’s history and it’s future.

The DVD will be launched in time for their 32nd Annual Conference 2nd-4th Nov 2010 in Glasgow. The new DVD is provisionally to be entitled “The Renewable Revolution” and will follow on the success of the previous two DVD’s. Bill Oddie has already been confirmed as the presenter.
